Well it is a sad day in the United States of America as they have shut down many major poker sites like: Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker  and Poker Stars to say the least. The US Goverment has seized the famous poker sites and put a shut down notice on AP (Absolute Poker) site. Stating that anyone conducting, financing or any kind of activity in this famous sport could be charged with imprisonment or up to $250,000 fine.

These companies were charged with money laundering , bank fraud and Illegal gambling defenses. 11 names were mentioned in this and including people who were charged with Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and Pokerstars.net sites. The payment processors of these companies were also involved. This means for millions of poker players across the country, well no more poker online!

So what does this mean for the poker community? Well it could mean more offline in casino gaming for the short term and for long term. Well let's just hope that the battle is won in court to get all of us poker players back online.
